Lois Enochs, though raised in Ohio, has also lived and worked in Europe, Texas and Arizona where she currently resides. She is a Midwest girl whose daily life has not been dissimilar to many of yours. She single parented, worked hard, and struggled with internal dialogue about life and God – just as most of us do.
While employed by the Department of Defense, Lois received several promotions, was awarded an Air Force Commendation Medal, the Inspector General’s Professional Performer Award, and was hand picked for an assignment in Europe. She decided (after twenty-one years of federal service), to try her hand in the private sector where she: contributed significantly in the rapid expansion of a well-known retail chain; identified large monthly savings for a major healthcare organization; and helped launch a U.S. sales and distribution location for a German company where she served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President of Administration.
Following a serious car accident, she found herself with time to reflect and write. Serving employers well over the years had given Lois great work ethic satisfaction, but it was time to do something more satisfying for her soul. She immersed herself in photographic art and custom framing as well as her writing.
Even as a child, Lois knew she was supposed to write. She would pick up pen and paper only to sit and stare at blank pages because she had no idea what to write. Life took care of that!
Lois sees herself not so much as an author but a teacher. We all have many things to share and we are all called to do so in different ways and in a variety of venues. As the expression referenced in her book says, “No man is my friend, no man is my enemy, every man is my teacher.” She now shares with you some extraordinary experiences in her otherwise ordinary life. |
